Maasvallei Route through the RivierPark
Step aboard in Maasbracht and let yourself drift along the Maas Valley for two hours. During the Maasvallei Route, you sail through RivierPark Maasvallei towards Stevensweert. Along the way, you see how nature and water shape this landscape together.
Cruise with special highlights
Near Stevensweert, we turn around and leave the river Maas for a cruise across the Belgian recreational lake De Spaanjerd. On this lake, active dredging machines are still at work. You will discover how sand and gravel are extracted here and what this means for the area.
We sail past the Tegelhuuske, the marina and day beach De Steenberg. With a bit of luck, you may spot a Galloway cow or a Konik horse along the banks of the Grensmaas. Take a close look at the trees along the water as well. Gnawed trunks reveal the presence of beavers.
RivierPark Maasvallei
A large part of the cruise takes you through RivierPark Maasvallei. This cross-border nature reserve stretches along the river Maas and is home to many different plants and animals. From the water, you experience the landscape in a different way. You see how the river shapes the area and how people and nature live side by side.
Good to know
Keep your camera or smartphone ready when we pass the dredging machines. This is your chance to capture the work on the water.
Would you like to make your cruise extra special? Visit the wheelhouse together with your children. The captain will tell you about sailing and you enjoy a wide view over the water and the landscape of Midden-Limburg.
To make sure you have a place on board, booking in advance is recommended. Check the date overview and choose the departure that suits your schedule. That way, you step on board relaxed and ready for your cruise through the Maas Valley.
